Emirati AI powerhouse G42 is spearheading a $1 billion initiative to establish data centers and cloud computing services in Vietnam, partnering with FPT Corp. and Viet Thai Group. The project, announced in Ho Chi Minh City, will deploy three data centers to bolster Vietnam's digital transformation, AI-driven automation, and cloud infrastructure.

While financial specifics remain undisclosed, the investment underscores Vietnam's emergence as a Southeast Asian tech hub. The infrastructure aims to support national AI skilling programs and cybersecurity capabilities, aligning with the UAE's strategic push into global AI markets amid intensifying competition.
